A lush retreat in the City
The Clients purchased the original early 1900's house because of the mature Victorian garden, which included large cypresses and other trees that are sometimes home to the famous parrots of Telegraph Hill. The trees were preserved and the gardens were recreated with Japanese maples, New Zealand tree ferns and other plants of the era. An oval bluestone terrace and stairs suit the timeless quality of the updated Craftsman building.
